The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners last week voted to accept $17 million in grants from a federal transportation program to help fund the “Green Port Gateway,” which will improve rail flow and the environment at the Port of Long Beach, according to a press release issued by the Port on June 22.

The Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association and the office of 8th District Councilmember Rae Gabelich will host the 7th Annual Bixby Knolls Dragster Expo and Car Show next month and are now inviting owners of classic and show cars to register.
