The Rancho Rio Verde Riding Club is having a “Day in the Country” Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. “Day in the Country” is a special fundraiser for the Valley View Vaulters, a nonprofit organization that teaches vaulting to both handicapped and non-handicapped people of all ages.

Signal Hill’s water supply and streets are in good shape, according to reports presented by Deputy City Manger Charlie Honeycutt to the city council at its Sept. 25 meeting, but measures must be taken to keep things that way.

Laura Richardson takes oath of office

Congresswoman Laura Richardson (CA-37) conducted her local oath of office ceremony Saturday in front of Martin Luther King-Harbor Hospital in Los Angeles. Richardson repeated the oath of office that she originally took in Washington D.C. Sept. 4 to an audience for more than 200 supporters.
