New law requires carbon monoxide detectors in homes

Starting July 1, new legislation will go into effect requiring homeowners to install carbon monoxide detectors in every California home, a move that California Department of Fire and Forestry Protection officials say will save lives.

Chiang finds state’s budget did not balance on paper

State Controller John Chiang announced Tuesday that his analysis of the State budget vetoed last week shows the spending plan was incomplete and unbalanced.
