Freeway collision ends with fatal results

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers responded to the southbound 710 Freeway, south of 6th Street, regarding a traffic collision that resulted in the death of a male adult passenger on Monday, June 25, at approximately 12:45am. The preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 1996 Acura Integra was traveling in the number-one traffic lane.

Residents urged to be aware of utility worker scam

The Long Beach Gas and Oil Department (LBGO) is alerting residents about recent reports of persons falsely representing themselves as utility workers to burglarize houses, claiming that a gas meter needs to be replaced and inquiring when the resident will be not be home.
