A grave matter

Today I received a disturbing phone call from my 70-year-old mother. She was at her grandparent’s grave site at Sunny Side Mortuary in Signal Hill, CA. Along with her grandparents being buried at Sunny Side, there are approximately 10 other family members buried at the same site.

Free Summer Fun Day to include concert and more

Fourth District Councilmember Patrick O’Donnell will host a “Summer Fun Day” picnic and concert at Whaley Park, 5620 E. Atherton St., on Sunday, June 24 at 3pm.
