Police make arrest for attempted shooting of officer

On Thursday, March 21, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers arrested a suspect for a recent attempted shooting of a police officer. On March 18, 2013, at approximately 6:30pm, officers were dispatched to the area of 8th Street and Maine Avenue regarding a group of possible gang members loitering at the location.
