When creepy critters and pests plague property owners, they are led to believe that they will be forced to put their lives on hold while their homes or businesses are tented up. But for more than 60 years, pest control company Antimite has helped save Southern California residents from the hassles of fumigation.
Since 1941, Antimite Termite and Pest Control has been making pests miserable with services ranging from insect, rodent, and bird control to termite eradication programs. All their locations, including the Long Beach office located on 2633 Atlantic Avenue, are staffed with a team of certified representatives willing to do whatever is needed to help out their customers.
“Antimite focuses on the big picture,” said Mike Watts, who represents the Long Beach location. “We are a full-service company, providing termite solutions, pest control and offer both treatments and long-term pest control services.”
Distinguishing themselves from the typical exterminator, Antimite provides all services without subcontracting and offers alternative methods of termite treatment, such as thermal termite treatment, which requires no move out, no chemicals and no food bagging.
“We heat the core temperature of the wood up,” said Watts. “That kills the termites because they can’t survive in that heat and it only takes a couple of hours.”
And with what Watts deems “very competitive prices,” Antimite claims to do everything and go wherever needed to give homeowners a proper inspection, recommendation of treatment and pricing on the spot.
“Our job isn’t done as soon as treatment’s over,” he said. “We are a long-term pest service. We educate people on how to protect their homes and offer service protection.”
Not only do Watts and his staff offer extermination services, but they are also general contractors, licensed to fix up the damage caused by termites.
“Something that many people may not know is that we do wood repair as additional projects,” said Watts. “We get a lot of demand for fixing decks, patios, doors and windows.”
