The City of Long Beach unveiled artist Patrick Vogel’s sculpture entitled “The Train Has Left the Station” on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Orizaba Park, 1435 Orizaba Ave.
The sculpture was installed on Jan. 19 and revealed to the public during the park’s grand opening on Jan. 21.
The sculpture, which has dimensions of 14 feet by 10 feet by four feet, was placed on the original train track location that now runs through Orizaba Park. The location was one of the stops of the former Redline Electric Train that ran through several Southland communities.
