More Info The workshop will focus on planning components at the 47-acre open space site in the middle of Long Beach. After a brisk 90-minute walk through the site, residents will return to the EDCO facility to share ideas for the development of the site master plan. Participants are asked to wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen, a hat and water. Water and light snacks will be provided. RSVPs are requested. After meeting on 36th Street, participants will clean the alleys from Wardlow Road to Bixby Avenue. Light snacks, bags and gloves will be provided. Admission includes a barbecue lunch and costs $5 for adults; children under 17 are admitted for free. An opportunity drawing during the event will feature prizes from local businesses with proceeds benefiting Long Beach youth aquatics programs. The event is part of the annual Long Beach Sea Festival.
