Two robbers held Tuttle Cameras employees at gunpoint while helping themselves to equipment on display in the store on Thursday, July 19 at shortly before 6:30pm. The store, located at 4019 Atlantic Ave., is one of Bixby Knolls’ oldest businesses.
According to a Long Beach Police Department report, the two male suspects entered the store in the early evening and at least one of them procudced a handgun with which he threatened the employees. The robbers then fled from the store with various items of equipment.
According to the LBPD report, descriptions of the suspects are not available at this time, and due to the ongoing investigation, no further information is being released.
Contacted by the Signal Tribune, Eric Vitwar, the store’s owner, declined comment on the robbery.
As of press time, Blair Cohn, executive director of the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association, had not returned a message left for him by the Signal Tribune.
