Signal Hill and Long Beach residents are encouraged to take advantage of Christmas-tree recycling programs this holiday season.
In Long Beach, the 21st Annual Holiday-Tree Recycling “Treecycling” Program ends on Jan. 12. Long Beach residents may drop off trees at any of the City’s 12 locations, including Houghton Park, the North Police Substation, Veterans Park, Hudson Park, Cesar E. Chavez Park, Bixby Park, Fire Station 14, CSULB Recycling Center, El Dorado Park, Stearns Park, City Operations Center and Wardlow Park.
Residents with City refuse service can also have their trees picked up from their homes on Jan. 12 by leaving trees out where trash is normally collected by 7am on the day of collection.
All trees being disposed of in this program must have decorations and stands removed, and trees over 12-feet tall should be cut in half. Flocked trees will be accepted.
