A planned discussion on a proposal to install giant electronic billboards was pulled from the Long Beach City Council’s agenda last Tuesday.
The removal came at the request of 3rd District Councilman Gary DeLong, who heads the council’s budget oversight committee partially because the company that hopes to install the billboards, Media Management Service, wants to scale down the size of the billboards in hopes of winning community support for the plan.
This was the second time in the last few months that the council has delayed its discussion on the matter. No date has been set for council consideration of the revised plan.
