5,575 to graduate from LBUSD high schools

cap-and-diploma.jpgParticipating in graduation ceremonies this month will be 5,575 students in the Long Beach Unified School District. Graduation ceremonies have begun and will continue through Wednesday, June 18.
Polytechnic High School and its Poly Accelerated Academy of Learning (PAAL) produced a combined graduating class of 1,041 seniors.
Wilson will award 869 diplomas; Lakewood, 850; Millikan, 757; Jordan, 712; Cabrillo, 635; California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS), 143; Educational Partnership High School (EPHS), 170; Long Beach School for Adults, 193; Renaissance, 83; Avalon, 64; and Reid, 58.
The schedule for remaining graduation ceremonies is as follows.
• Avalon: 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, Avalon Casino Theater.
• EPHS: 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, Lakewood High School Auditorium.
• Lakewood: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, Veterans Memorial Stadium.
• Long Beach School for Adults: 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, Wilson High School Auditorium.
• Millikan: 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, Veterans Memorial Stadium.
• Renaissance: 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12, Long Beach City College Auditorium.
• Wilson: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, Wilson Football Stadium.
