Friends of Long Beach Animals (FOLBA) will host its 13th annual Walk for the Animals on Saturday, May 31 at Marina Vista Park, 5355 E. Eliot St.
Marie Hulett, the host of the Pet Place Radio Show, will serve as emcee for the event. The event will also include: DogPACT, providing K-9 agility and “nose work” demonstrations throughout the day; Tess, a member of the K-9 Bed Bug Detection Team with the ability to locate bed bugs; other animal demonstrations and exhibitions; animal-rescue and adoption groups; live entertainment by the Blue Steel Band; vendors; raffle prizes; food; a kid zone; and more. There will also be a bike valet for those who want to ride their bike to the event, which is free and open to the public.
To preregister for the walk, visit folba.org . The cost is $30 and includes two complimentary Laugh Factory Long Beach passes, discounts, a Walk T-shirt and more. Registration the day of the event is $35.
This event is a fundraiser for FOLBA, which is a nonprofit organization in its 23rd year serving Long Beach and Signal Hill.
