St. Anthony High School senior Megan Anderson took her first art course just this year, but she said she already loves it “more than traditional homework.” When it comes to her artwork, she is a self-described perfectionist, especially when working with outlines and paintings.
For the last four years, she has been a member of the Long Beach Junior Crew Team, which recently won a national championship. She will be attending Southern Methodist University in Texas next year with a full scholarship for rowing. Her rowing specialty is the “engine room,” which sits in the middle of the boat.
Anderson said she plans to study political science and hopes to keep releasing all her energy from rowing through art as a hobby.
