“Our annual picnic is a great chance for Democrats, both men and women, from all areas, ages and backgrounds to come together and meet like-minded people,” said club President Sharon Weissman. “This year we will be joined by a new Long Beach City Council, and it will be a great opportunity to meet the new leadership.”
This year’s event co-hosts are: Rep. Linda Sanchez; Rep. Alan Lowenthal; Rep. Janice Hahn; Sen. Ricardo Lara; Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal; Assemblymember Anthony Rendon; Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia; Long Beach Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal; Long Beach Councilmembers Lena Gonzalez, Suzie Price and Patrick O’Donnell; LBCC Trustee Sunny Zia; LBUSD Board Member Megan Kerr; California Democratic Party Regional Director Sergio Carrillo; Water Replenishment District Division 3 candidate Tonia Reyes-Uranga; Central Basin Water District candidate Jason Gardea Stinnett; and IBEW, Local 11.
