The City of Signal Hill has provided the following information regarding city departments and services during the Thanksgiving holiday.
City Hall and all city offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 25.
Refuse and recycling will be delayed one day if regular pickup is on Thursday. There will be no street sweeping on Thanksgiving Day.
The City of Long Beach has provided the following information about its departments and services during the holiday.
City Hall will be closed on Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of the holiday.
Street sweeping and enforcement of street-sweeping violations will not occur on Friday, Nov. 25. Street sweeping will occur as regularly scheduled on all other days during the week. Drivers should read parking meters. New smart meters in Long Beach display days and hours of operations– and also when they are exempt– on large backlit screens. Meters without holiday exemptions will be enforced. Meters with holiday exemptions will be enforced on Friday, Nov. 25.
Red, white and blue curbs are enforced every day. Green and yellow curbs without adjacent meters are not enforced on Sundays and holidays.
All Long Beach public libraries will be closed on Friday, Nov. 25. All libraries will be open on Saturday, Nov. 26. Only Bay Shore, Burnett and Michelle Obama neighborhood libraries will be open on Sunday, Nov. 27. All libraries will be closed on Monday, Nov. 28, and will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Animal Care Services will be closed on Friday, Nov. 25, and it will re-open Saturday, Nov. 26, at 10am. (longbeach.gov/acs)
