Two men injured in Cal Heights drive-by shooting


Two men were injured in the California Heights neighborhood on Saturday, April 8 in a drive-by shooting, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).
Around 2:15am that day, officers responded to a “shots fired” call in the 1000 block of E. Wardlow Road, where they located two male adults who had been struck in the lower body by gunfire.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle had driven up to the victims and someone within the vehicle had fired shots at them.
The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
