Pedestrian hurt in two-car collision succumbs to injuries


On Tuesday, April 18, at approximately 12:37pm, Signal Hill Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of E. Willow Street and Town Center West regarding a rollover traffic collision involving two vehicles that collided in the intersection. One vehicle struck a pedestrian who was on the southeast corner of the intersection.

The pedestrian, a 58-year-old resident of Long Beach, suffered a traumatic head injury as a result of the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on April 19.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is still ongoing.
