Kidnapping, sexual-assault suspect at large

The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for the sexual assault and kidnapping of two women that occurred in the area of Cherry Avenue and Anaheim Street.
On Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at approximately 10pm, the suspect drove his vehicle next to the victim who was walking in the area of Cherry Avenue and Anaheim Street, and ordered her at gunpoint into his vehicle. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim in his vehicle. The suspect stopped his vehicle in the city of Wilmington, where the victim was able to escape.
On Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at approximately 3am, a second victim was ordered into the suspect’s vehicle at knifepoint in the area of Cherry Avenue and Anaheim Street. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim in the vehicle then stopped his vehicle in the city of Rancho Dominguez, where the victim was able to jump out. The suspect chased the victim, grabbed her purse and then drove away.
The suspect is described as a Samoan or black male, 25–35 years old, 5’10”, 300 lbs, black hair, brown eyes with a moustache. He possibly has a tattoo of a teardrop near his right eye, and a large tattoo on his right hand. The vehicle is described as a large four-door SUV, beige or gold in color, possibly a Ford Expedition or Jeep Cherokee with dark stripes on the sides, with a possible license plate containing some combination of “5Q715,” not necessarily in that order.
