WHERE’S LINUS?
The Pythian Youth Foundation of California is operating a pumpkin patch on the corner of 49th Street and Long Beach Boulevard through October 31 to raise funds to help send children to camp.

BOO!
Averyboo Arts, 3908 Atlantic Ave., will celebrate Halloween with fun for the little ones on Friday, Oct. 30, including face painting, crafts, music and dress-up costumes with open-studio admission of $10 per hour. Complimentary treats and refreshments served. RSVP suggested by calling (562) 912-4800.

GRAVE CONCERNS
The Historical Society of Long Beach will present its 14th Annual Historical Cemetery Tour Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9am to 2:30pm at Sunnyside and Long Beach Municipal cemeteries, 1095 Willow St. Guided tours will leave on the hour from 9am to noon. Dia de los Muertos crafts, free hot dog lunch and more. Admission is $18 for adults, $12 for members, free for kids under 12. More info at (562) 424-2220.

A HAIR-RAISING HALLOWEEN

Two the Root Supply and Salon will host a Halloween party with samples, treats, prizes and more on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 11am to 3pm. Two the Root is located at 3549 Atlantic Ave.

LOVE A PARADE?
Costumed kids are invited to lead the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade this year on Saturday, Oct. 31, for which there will be a few $25 and $10 prizes to kids with the best outfits. There is no charge to enter the kids costume contest, but a signed entry form by parent or guardian is required. Be at the parade start line (meet inside the kids playground front gates, corner of Livingston Drive and Park Avenue) by 2:20pm with entry form. Kids will step off at 2:25pm. FOR GOBLINS YOUNG AND YOUNGER
California Heights United Methodist Church, 3759 Orange Ave., will host a Halloween Spooktacular on Oct. 31. Free activities will include trick-or-treating for candy, games, crafts, and more fun for pre-school and elementary-school aged kids from 5pm to 7:30pm. Then from 8pm to 11pm, for middle school and high school students, there will be a Monster Mash dance party with a haunted house, games and pizza, all for only $5. HALLOWEEN ON THE ‘GREEN’
The Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance’s (WANA) Third Annual Halloween party will be Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6pm to 8:30pm on the “green” at the corner of 20th Street and Daisy Avenue. There will be a Halloween contest with prizes at 7pm.
