LB Transit's entry voted best dog house

Held in conjunction with the 2009 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, The Long Beach Convention & Visitor Bureau’s 2nd Annual Dog House Decorating Contest highlights local organizations and raises funds for local charities. This year’s winner of Best in Show—the LB Transit for their “Pawsport” dog house—donated their $3,500 first place winnings to the Long Beach City College Foundation: Long Beach College Promise, a charity that provides students with scholarships.

The LB Transit used recycled bus flooring and bus seat fabric inside their dog house, which comfortably seats 10 plush dogs. The bus stop sign included in their display shows the passenger fare rate—two kibbles and one bit—and outlines the bus riding etiquette, which includes: no chewing, no barking, and keeping your tongue and paws in the bus at all times.
