Interfaith Council seeks nominees for Spotlight Awards

The South Coast Interfaith Council (SCIC) is asking the public to nominate members of the local community for the SCIC Spotlight Awards, which recognize five different individuals for their outstanding contributions to the community at large, especially in the realm of interfaith. They are awarded to a clergy/religious leader, layman, laywoman, senior citizen and youth.
For a nomination form, email scic@charterinternet.com. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, Feb. 15.
The recipients of the awards will be recognized during the 57th
SCIC Annual Assembly on March 8 from 6pm to 9pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 25511 Eshelman Ave., in Lomita. The evening will also include a dinner and elections for new SCIC board members. The community is invited and encouraged to attend. For reservations ($25), call (562) 983-1665.
