Bixby Knolls LaunderPet and sister stores in Belmont Heights and Seal Beach are offering free “unemployment pet grooming” to local residents who are unemployed and looking for a job. Each appointment is good for one free dog or cat bath/brush or bath/haircut service. (Complete unemployment pet grooming program rules are available at all three LaunderPet stores and online at launderpet.com/unemployed_grooming.htm.)
To celebrate its newly remodeled store, with more premium dog & cat foods, supplies, toys and treats, as well as a self-service pet wash, Bixby Knolls LaunderPet is having a grand re-opening event on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28 featuring 50 free gift bags, a storewide sale, product giveaways, free self-service washes and an opportunity drawing for food and services. Proceeds from the opportunity drawing will be donated to Friends of Long Beach Animals to promote “saving lives through spay/neuter and education.”
“We want to thank our loyal customers and hard-working staff for making 2009 a record year for Bixby Knolls LaunderPet and our LaunderPet stores in Belmont Heights and Seal Beach,” said Eric Hatch, co-owner for 18 years. “We are thankful for the opportunity to serve our friends and customers in the ‘uptown’ area, including unemployed job hunters, and we look forward to serving our customers and friends at our three LaunderPet stores for many years to come.”
“We are working harder than ever to deliver the right mix of products and services to our two-legged and four-legged customers,” said co-owner Doug Mayhew.
