Five honorees will be presented with The California Conference for Equality and Justice’s (CCEJ) 2010 Humanitarian Award at the organization’s upcoming 47th annual awards dinner. Mary Alice Braly, Dr. Ebenezer Bush, Shirley Wild, Supervisor Don Knabe and his wife Julie will be recognized for their advancement of the mission of CCEJ, their civic contributions, and their life-long commitment to humankind.
Freda Hinsche Otto, Ph.D. and Mike Walter, Ph.D, are this year’s dinner co-chairs and will lead the ceremonies for the evening.
The dinner will take place at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, 444 W. Ocean Blvd., Suite 940 on Thursday, May 20. A reception will be at 5:30pm, with a dinner to follow at 6:30pm. The proceeds from the dinner will support the work of The California Conference for Equality and Justice to reduce bias, bigotry and prejudice.
