Found Theatre awards its first Galles Memorial Scholarship at Soroptimist luncheon

At Soroptimist International of Long Beach’s annual scholarship and awards luncheon at The Grand last week, one of the awards presented was the first Found Theatre Cynthia Galles Memorial Scholarship, honoring the Found’s late founder and longtime artistic director, Cynthia Galles.
Designed to assist a Long Beach woman pursuing an associate-in-arts or higher degree in theatre arts or management, this first award went to Winter Davis, who is attending Cal State University, Long Beach with a 3.42 grade-point average and pursuing a combined Master of Business Administration and Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management. Davis recently traveled to Cambodia to take theatre and art to disadvantaged youth.
