The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium will offer a floating oceanography lab experience Saturday, June 26 from 9am to noon.
The hands-on trip will be aboard a specially equipped vessel where participants will have opportunities to study some of the near-shore animals, which will be collected during the trip, and to learn about the world of plankton, animals that call mud their home and some of the fish that prefer the sandy bottom.

Aquarium staff will identify marine birds and be on the lookout for sea lions and dolphins. Pre-registration is required. Fee is $30, $27 for Friends of the Aquarium.
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is located at 3720 Stephen M. White Dr., in San Pedro, and is a facility of the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.
