The City of Long Beach will host the Second Annual Long Beach Gospel Fest and Downtown Worship Experience on Sunday, July 11 from 11am to 7pm on Pine Avenue between Broadway and 1st Street. More than 20 churches are involved in this year’s festival, which is free and open to the public.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Gospel Fest knowing as well as local choirs and performers that it will bring so many of the Long Beach residents together,” said Councilman Dee Andrews, who is co-sponsoring the event. “This will be one of the country’s most unique environments to experience gospel music and brunch with beautiful city views, ocean breezes, and delectable dining.”
“I thank God that this day has finally arrived,” said Wayne Chaney Jr., senior pastor of Antioch Church of Long Beach, which is also a sponsor. “This gospel festival will be one of the city’s premier events for years to come.”
