The Rose Park Neighborhood Association is seeking sponsors for its Rose Park Heritage Walk. Engraved bricks will be placed in the park walkways, and proceeds will benefit work that beautifies, enhances and sustains Rose Park, such as landscaping, repairs and community events.
The Rose Park neighborhood, which extends roughly from Cherry to Redondo avenue between 4th and 10th streets, features many historic homes from the early 20th century. The park was recently restored, under the leadership of Second District Councilmember and Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal and the Rose Park Neighborhood Association.
For the Heritage Walk project, sponsors purchase a 4”x 8” clay brick to be engraved in black with up to 54 characters to commemorate, pay tribute to, or honor a loved one, organization or event.
Those interested in purchasing a brick for $150 can visit the Rose Park Neighborhood website at rpna.org, or contact Park Committee member Daniel Brezenoff at Brezenoff@hotmail.com or (310) 422-2211.
