Community Hospital honoring Verizon, Boeing employees for their support

Community Hospital of Long Beach (CHLB) Foundation will honor the commitments of Verizon and the Employees Community Fund of Boeing California to CHLB at the Condit Spirit Awards on Saturday, Nov. 20. The two honorees will be recognized for their significant charitable gift support and volunteer service to the hospital, which enable it to continue to provide quality healthcare services and programs for the diverse needs of the community.
CHLB selected Verizon as its corporate honoree and the Employee’s Community Fund of Boeing California as its community-based honoree for this year. The Condit Spirit Awards, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, will feature a gala dinner, awards ceremony, and silent auction, along with a live auction presided over by the honorable Don Knabe, Supervisor, Fourth District, Los Angeles County.
All proceeds from the Condit Spirit Awards will benefit the “Community Dreams Fund: Focusing on Today, Planning for Tomorrow,” which ensures that the hospital continues to provide quality health care by optimizing the latest medical technologies and providing the services and programs for the diverse needs of the community.
The Condit Spirit Awards are named after former Long Beach Mayor Fillmore Condit, whose charitable gift in 1924 helped make Community Hospital a reality. In addition to honoring Condit’s charitable spirit, the Awards will commemorate the hospital’s 86th anniversary with a “Touch of Gold” theme. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume.
The reception and auction begin at 6pm, followed by dinner, awards, and live auction at 7:30pm. Tickets are $175 per person. For reservations and more information, visit or call the CHLB Foundation at (562) 494-0576.
