More Info More than 75 “shavees” will bare all when they have their heads shaved to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. The children are participating in honor of classmate Kayleigh Scott, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment at Miller Children’s Hospital. Participants have gathered sponsorships from friends and family members in exchange for boldly shaving their heads bald as a sign of solidarity with pediatric cancer patients who often lose their hair as a result of treatment. More Info All proceeds from the Spaghetti Scrabble event will benefit Rising TIDE at the Marguerite Kieffer Education Center, Inc. All ages are welcome and child care is available. $10 donation suggested, which includes spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, beverage and dessert. Doors will open at 5pm for viewing of silent auction items. Dinner begins at 5:30pm. Scrabble play begins at 7:45pm. The event also includes an opportunity drawing.
