By all accounts, International City Theatre staged quite a coup acquiring the rights to God of Carnage, playwright Yasmina Reza’s homage to “adults behaving badly,” which is, by the way, the theme of ICT’s entire 2012 season.

First Fridays’ Mardi-Gras themed art walk to have attendees ‘laissez les bon temps rouler’

The First Fridays art walk on Feb. 3 will “laissez les bon temps rouler” when it welcomes Long Beach Mardi Gras to Bixby Knolls. Patrons will have opportunities to enjoy Dixieland music, food, king cake, mask-making, and plenty of beads to keep things festive.

Exhibit retells history of punk rock with photographs of empty venues

Artist’s retrospective to include paintings, mixed media, photographs and books

Artist Susan Holsclaw’s work is being presented at the Liberty Art Gallery, 435 Alamitos Ave., as a retrospective that reflects the time period from the turbulent years of the Vietnam War era to the present. The exhibit features works in oil, pastel, charcoal and mixed media.
