Long Beach Golf Learning Center begins program for children

The Long Beach Golf Learning Center’s new management team has approved and supported the LBGLC Junior Golf Program, which was started in early June 2008. Fabian Rivera, program and tournament director, and Brian Gonzales, professional golfer and program financial officer, have been working on the formation and improvement of this golf venture for local youths.

Local high school athletes take steps toward Major League Baseball

Four Long Beach athletes made their first step towards the future as they signed college letters of intent on Wednesday, Nov.14. The players all trained with the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy, a new program started by the MLB to assist the players in getting noticed by scouts.
