Long Beach Water Department receives 2012 LA County Green Leadership Award for Lawn-to-Garden program

The L.A. County Board of Supervisors recognized the winners of its Fourth Annual Green Leadership Awards on Tuesday. Taking home this year’s Public Agency Green Leadership Award was the Long Beach Water Department, which received the award for its Lawn-to-Garden program.

Mayor Foster participates in ‘Bike to Work’ Day with city’s bike ambassador

SH Council paves way to sell major portion of former redevelopment property to Signal Hill Petroleum

The Signal Hill City Council and its Successor Agency, which now manages the City’s redevelopment matters, approved in a vote of 4-0 several actions at Tuesday’s meeting to pave the way for Signal Hill Petroleum to purchase just over 14 acres of land owned by the City’s now dissolved redevelopment agency.
