Ridgewood Heights remodels streets to improve traffic

April 3rd, 2008 · No Comments · Community

Ridgewood HeightsOn March 24, the Ridgewood Heights Neighborhood Association celebrated the accomplishment of construction works and traffic signage for redesigning and improving traffic at California Avenue between 45th Way and 46 Street. The intersection improvement was done to improve the width of traffic lanes, center divider, allocation of parking space, and pedestrian crossings among other things.
This renovation came as a response of the Long Beach City Hall’s respective departments to complaints of the dwellers of that area and the request of the Ridgewood Heights Neighborhood Association.
Attended by Councilwoman Rae Gaeblich, eighth district office members and Redevelopment Projects officer Lee Mayfield, representatives of the Ridgewood Heights Neighborhood Association recognized the occasion of installing the memorial plaque on the curb of the pedestrian island at the intersection.
