Garage Theatre seeks donations for renovations

May 1st, 2008 · No Comments · Community, Entertainment

After three years at its current location and hearing audience comments like “Man, it’s hot in there!” and “You guys should do something about those lights,” the Garage Theatre is organizing the Grid Vicious Capital Campaign to raise money for materials and supplies to update the theatre space.
An assessment of the theatre’s needs includes:
• air conditioning at a cost of $5,000
• electrical costs of 7,000
• grid materials for $5,000
• insulation for $2,000
• drywall for $1,000
• labor costs of $5,000
The total amount needed is estimated to be $25,000.
The Garage Theatre is asking for donations to help cover the costs of these badly needed renovations.
To make a donation, download the pledge card at www.thegaragetheatre.org/gridvicious.html and mail it to The Garage Theatre at 251 E. 7th St., Long Beach, CA 90813.
For more information, call (562) 433-8337.
