Wine-tasting event to benefit Cal Heights neighborhood group

October 9th, 2008 · No Comments

The California Heights Neighborhood Association is hosting a fundraiser at the Wine Crush on Sunday, October 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Wine Crush, located at 3131 East Broadway, is co-owned by Cal Heights residents Tracy Parker and Marcus Crawshaw and serves as an ideal place to relax while savoring some great wines. Those interested are invited to attend and catch up with neighborhood friends and meet new residents of the community.
Tickets are $30 per person in advance (or $35 the day of the event). The tasting includes six wines, and the last tasting will be served at 5:30 p.m. All funds raised at the tasting will be used for new projection equipment to resurrect the Cal Heights summer movie series. The equipment will also be used at future home tours and community meetings. The Crush has agreed to donate 10 percent of all sales made during the fundraiser to CHNA.
Those interested in attending can either send a check in the amount of $30 (payable to CHNA, 3553-A Atlantic Avenue #350, Long Beach, CA 90807) or pay online at www.calheights.org. For more information, call (562) 981-3671.
