Five members of Susan B. Anthony Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution from Long Beach and four docent volunteers from the Phineas Banning Museum of Wilmington paid their respects in Dover, Delaware last month at the ceremonial dedication of a DAR plaque honoring John Banning, a recognized patriot of the American Revolution by virtue of his military and public service. He was the grandfather of Phineas Banning (”Father of the Los Angeles Harbor”) and patriarch of a noted family.
