On May 21, 2009, at approximately 6am, Long Beach patrol officers responded to the 800 block of Termino Avenue regarding a “burglary in progress” call. Their investigation led to the arrest of Jason Elliott, a 19-year-old Long Beach resident.
During the subsequent investigation, detectives located additional evidence linking Elliott to an automobile burglary that also occurred in the pre-dawn hours of May 21, 2009 in the 3600 block of East Anaheim Street.
Detectives have several other items, believed to be stolen from Long Beach residents in either residential or automobile burglaries. Both of these cases have been filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Detectives from the Long Beach Police Department believe there are additional victims and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating them. If you or someone you know have been the victim of theft on or around May 21, 2009 contact Detective Don Collier of Robbery Detail at (562) 570-5537.
