The Signal Hill Redevelopment Agency recently completed the acquisition of 2185-87 Walnut Avenue and 1456-1590 E. Hill Street with low- to moderate-income housing funds. Located two blocks from City Hall, the 1.41-acre site is proposed for affordable housing. Redevelopment agencies are required to use 20 percent of its monies for the provision of affordable housing. The acquisition of this property will assist the agency in meeting this goal.
