Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, Department of Health & Human Services Weed & Seed Program, Department of Parks, Recreation & Marine, Central Neighborhood Advisory Committee, the South Wrigley Neighborhood Advisory Group and the Peace Garden Leadership Group are inviting the public to assist in the continuing development of the new community Peace Garden, from 8:30am to 1pm on Saturday, Aug. 21. The garden is located at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, DHHS Central Facilities Center, 1133 Rhea St.

POPCORN MOVIE
The Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance will offer a free screening of the movie Cats and Dogs on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 7:30pm on the median at the intersection of Daisy Avenue and W. 20th Street (midway between Hill Street and Pacific Coast Highway). WEEK OF “THE GOOD BOOK”
Community Presbyterian Church, 6380 Orange Ave., will conduct a Youth Vacation Bible School Monday, Aug. 23 to Thursday, Aug. 26, from 5pm to 7pm, for all students who will be entering sixth grade through those who just graduated high school.
