For the second year in a row, 2nd District Council Member Suja Lowenthal, Goodwill, and Su Casa will co-host a free electronic waste recycling event on Saturday, January 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northeast Lot on Broadway at Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach.

Auto Club’s Tipsy Tow service gives New Year’s revelers a free ride home

The Automobile Club of Southern California is offering its free Tipsy Tow service to drinking drivers during the New Year’s holiday. The service is available from 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30 through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. Tipsy Tow is available in the 13 Southern California counties served by the Auto Club.
