The pavement rehabilitation project along Wardlow Road between Long Beach Boulevard and Cherry Avenue is expected to be done by the end of July.
The City of Long Beach began work last week on a pavement rehabilitation project along Wardlow Road between Long Beach Boulevard and Cherry Avenue.
“As a strong supporter of infrastructure investment, I’m proud to see projects like this that will extend the life of one of the city’s most important assets– our roads,” said Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster.

On April 19, 2012, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced the arrest of officer Noe Yanez for possession of child pornography. After an extensive investigation following that arrest, he was re-arrested on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, and booked on multiple counts of sexually based offenses.
Following the initial complaint and arrest of Yanez, the LBPD continued their investigation, and additional victims were located and interviewed. [Read more →]

On Sunday, May 6, at approximately 11:54am, officers from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) were called to the 1100 block of Linden Avenue to assist the Long Beach Fire Department with an adult male lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was later pronounced deceased, and the suspect in this case has been arrested. [Read more →]
